Homoeopathy and Kerala go hand in hand. The most popular, articulate and expressive speaker of the full day seminar was none other than Dr Parinaz Humranwala from Mumbai. Having had a successful book to her credit ‘temperaments types’ she bowled over the 800 strong delegation of practicing homeopaths, teachers and students with her research driven expert system TEMPRAZ. She has taken homoeopathic prescribing to a new level with this new approach of arriving at a remedy based on temperaments. |
The audience were awestruck and glued to their seats as she unfolded the concept and its working through a creative power point presentation in her inimitable enthusiastic style. The All South India Homoeopathic seminar titled “ A Novel way to Easy Prescribing – Through Temperaments’. Was hosted by The Institute of Homoeopaths Kerala Trust on 28th Feb 2010 at Kottayam, Kerala.

An innovative and interactive seminar enabled the delegates to freely participate in the proceedings. Dr Parinaz’s cases and explanation alongwith several handy tips provided a template to use the expert system and understand the filter which helps the homoeopaths arrive at the bullseye remedy. She encouraged the participants to come up on stage and based on their case explained how the remedy can be obtained through the use of the expert system.

The passion and clarity of the speaker showed the tremendous hard work and immersive research applied for this breakthrough approach. The delegates had the opportunity to understand each step involved towards the simillimum with the help of the expert system.

The speaker explained various special features of the expert system, which includes:
- Finding the temperament of the patient, “The Real person” with the help of Tempraz Evaluation.
- Tempraz words which describe the patient’s qualities along with their meanings. These meanings help to differentiate between two similar standing words.
- Tempraz practical repertory: It is a practical repertory in its true sense with its list of various rubrics applicable to a particular characteristic of a patient.
- Parallel words are a new concept, which allows you to select from a list of similar theme words the most appropriate one for that patient.
- Temperament Insights describes in-depth the characteristic of each temperament and how combined temperaments would react.

This session was followed by an animated description of each temperament (Choleric, Melancholic, Nervous, Phlegmatic and Sanguine) brought alive by the speaker. The closing session was an Open Forum, a question answer session. The speaker put everyone at ease and encouraged them to ask any query on the subject. Truly this seminar opened up a new vista in the field of homoeopathic prescribing. The seminar was well received and appreciated and the response was overwhelming.
